CaseyWoodzell is a Fine Art Photographer in Scottsville VA. Casey grew up in Crozet VA and has lived in Scottsville area for nearly 15 years.  She majored in photography, graduating with a B.A. in 2000 from Virginia Intermont College.

Casey’s interest in photography has always been to frame things the way she sees them.  Carefully arranging compositions with shapes and lines, or capturing the shadows and beams of light every where she looks.  Photography has also been an interest of hers as a way of stopping time. Documenting growth and change around major life events and tiny little moments that may otherwise go by unnoticed.

She has done a variety of assignments professionally, including real estate photography, pet portraits, weddings and events.  Casey is currently working on an exhibit called Silent Spaces that will be displayed in Scottsville, VA in May of 2017. The show consists of a  collection of photographs from many different abandoned places.  Exploring abandoned places has always been a curiosity and she is excited to share this collection of images that span over the last 12 months.
